A ruby in a drop of wine, a sapphire in a sea of blue
A pearl for a shell of pearl unseen, the heart of you
A rose in scarlet bowers of bloom untempered of the sun and dew
Too deep for the trumpet of the bee, the lips of you
A diamond in the crystal spring, a star astray in clouded skies
The light of an older world waits in your eyes
